GIVING UP IS NEVER THE NEXT OPTION

By Boluwatife Ezekiel Olaleye

So many things you have let go, against your wishes. You didn't want it for yourself but you lost something vital to you.
Ever since your friend left you, life hasn't been the same. He was your everything and you weren't expecting him to stab you in the back the way he did.
Ever since your parents died, your life has gone down the drain. No protection, no support, no sponsorship. Life ain't worth living anymore. You weren't expecting them to leave so soon but IT HAPPENED!
Guess what, Barcelona didn't see it coming but it happened. They lost Neymar, one of their vital attacking talents to another big team on a WORLD- RECORD transfer fee. They felt betrayed by his actions having done so much for him but they moved on… and that's what you must do…
MOVE ON!
Yes, people now see your flaws because he is no longer there to cover it for you like before or because your parents are no longer there to help you out like in the past, people hurl different hurtful words at you.
They say you are useless, good-for-nothing and belief you are going to crash but you are not the only one that has ever been down that road of scorn. Barca was too. After losing Neymar, they were humiliated 5-1 by their arch-rivals in their first competitive game of the season and of course, it was a final.
Barcelona were outplayed and outmuscled by Madrid's Gallacticos for the first time in 8 years but it was not enough for people to slam them hopeless. They said Barcelona was a one-man club and would never win a trophy ahead of Madrid again back then in August.
Fast-forward to January, this new year, This Barcelona that everyone rubbished is the team leading the Spanish League standings with 16 points above Real Madrid who lie further back in Fourth (4th). Unbelievable, isn't it.
YOUR LIFE CAN BECOME UNBELIEVABLE AS WELL!
People will start arguing whether it's you or not because they just will continue to doubt the great person you have become only if you never stop believing in yourself. NEVER GIVE UP!

You see, Barcelona were broken after Neymar's shock loss and they became desperate to sign top Liverpool star, Phillipe Coutinho to replace him but Liverpool would not release him. Despite huge transfer fees offered by Barcelona, Liverpool refused even when Coutinho was willing to leave. Liverpool saw the desperation in Barcelona's eyes and decided to take advantage by inflating Coutinho's price to one Barca would not want to pay-€200m-afterall-Neymar left for €222m-just like people will love to mock you and take advantage of the fact that you are down to demotivate you so much you begin to think of committing suicide because the pain is too much for you.
Barcelona's inability to secure Coutinho deal back in August added insult to injury and Madrid, with the number of top stars they had, punished a distraught Barca duly but come January, Barca, against all odds, lead the standings with a huge gap after the first-half of the season, and that's not to mention the 3-0 win Barcelona recorded over Real Madrid at their own home on Christmas Eve.
WHAT A COMEBACK!
January came and Barcelona went after unfinished business. Now at the top, with the title closer than ever and no longer desperate, they went after Coutinho again and Wala! It went through. Liverpool couldn't help it. He is now at Barcelona and now the club has reinforcement.
Didn't mean to be too serious with this but if Barca could travel through one of their darkest periods without falling and never gave up on a player they badly needed and which would improve them, so why should you throw in the towel because of a little pain you are facing.
Face your pain, let it push you from where you are to where you need to be. Never say Never. I don't know what it is that dream you have but I want you to know that it is possible if you go for it.
