Previous record-breaker: The world's previous longest glass-bottomed bridge opened in Zhangjiajie in China's Hunan Province in 2016.

Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon: The Zhangjiajie bridge is still the world's highest, spanning a 300-meter deep valley between two cliffs.

Tough structure: The Zhangjiajie bridge's creators claimed it set new levels for safety -- inviting journalists to attempt to smash the glass with a sledgehammer and even driving a car across it.
