Dressing For The Rainy Season

Dressing right during the  rainy season can be incredibly challenging because there are so many things to consider. Follow these tips for getting that simple and smart look.

1. Always carry an umbrella

A cute umbrella can add colour to your look and a little class to your outfit. Although, it can be an extra luggage, it can prevent you from getting drenched by the rain.

2. Wear the right accessories

If well selected, accessories can help add colours to your outfit even with the gloomy weather. But remember to tone down the number of metal jewellery you wear at this period to prevent them from rusting quickly.

3. Wear dark colours

To stay clean all day, pair dark-colored pants with shirts or dresses. Go for black, as it will show a little signs of debris. Long-sleeved outfits and lightweight sweaters in quick-to-dry materials should also be a frequent choice.

4. Stay dry in longer jackets

Jackets can help keep you warm and prevent your clothes from getting ruined from car splatters. While the umbrella can fend some of the rain away,  it can't cover the entire body, so wear a jacket for full protection. A trendy mid-thigh jacket will shield your body and add colour to your looks.

5. Hair

To prevent your hair from getting damaged by the dusty winds and rain water which is infused with some chemicals, wear colourful waterproof hats and scarves.

6. Buy rubber footwear

Avoid wearing leather or suede shoes because it can be ruined by the rain. Rubber footwear also known as jellies, come in different colours and styles. Whether   you need them for the office or a day out with your friends, there are several styles to suit your purpose.
