DANIEL RADCLIFFE HAS A VERY GOOD REASON FOR NOT WANTING TO RETURN TO ‘HARRY POTTER’

Harry Potter fans far and wide may dream of seeing Daniel Radcliffe don the iconic lightning bolt scar again, but the actor isn’t so sure coming back to reprise his role as Harry Potter would be a good idea.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Swiss Army Man star revealed that there’s one big concern weighing him down when it comes to the possibility of playing an older version of Harry somewhere down the line.
“There’s a part of me that’s like, some things are better left untouched. If we weren’t back to Potter , there’s a chance we’d make what Star Wars: The Force Awakens was to the original Star Wars , but there’s also a chance that we’d make
Phantom Menace, joked Radcliffe. “So I don’t want to go back to anything like that and maybe sour what people have already loved.”
While Radcliffe may be under the impression that sometimes it’s better to let good things lie, the Potter alum told THR he hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of coming back to play The Boy Who Lived when he’s a bit older.
Radcliffe echoed that sentiment in an interview with Andy Cohen Live on Sirius XM just last month.
“You never want to close the door on anything, especially something that’s been so good to me, but I do think, at the moment, I’m definitely not at a stage where I would feel comfortable going back to it,” Radcliffe said on Andy Cohen Live.
The good thing is, Radcliffe doesn’t necessarily have to decide just yet. Harry’s story may live on in the form of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play, but it’ll be a while before Radcliffe catches up to the Boy Wizard’s age in the eighth Potter story.
For now, we’ll just have to hope that if and when the time comes, Radcliffe is still just as open to the idea of playing Harry Potter again as we are to see him step back into
J.K. Rowling’s world
